Orders that are $40 or more are eligible for free standard shipping within the continental United States. If you are a Barnes & Noble premium member, you qualify for free standard shipping, no matter your order total. There are a few items that do not qualify for free shipping, such as gift cards, gift certificates, magazines and digital products like eBooks, SparkNotes, Quamut Charts, digital magazines, PDF files and audiobook MP3s.

Credit Card Offers
The Barnes & Noble Mastercard has no annual fee, and when customers complete their first purchase with the card, they will receive a $25 B&N gift card. With every in-store or online purchase, customers get 5% back, earn 2x the points for every $1 spent at resturants and earn 1x points for every $1 spent on all other purchases.
Appreciation Discount
While Barnes & Noble does not have traditional appreciation discounts, the retailer does have oppurtunities to save through its rewards program and Coupons and Deals page.

Return Policy
For online orders, customers can return items within 30 days after the delivery date. Items must be returned in its original condition, and any shrink wrap or sealed products need to be unopened. You can return items to a Barnes & Noble store, or return the item through the mail. There is no prepaid shipping, so shipping costs will need to be paid.

Loyalty & Rewards Program
There are two rewards options available at Barnes & Noble. The first is the Free Membership, which allows you to collect one stamp for every $10 spent. Once you collect 10 stamps, you will receive a $5 reward. The second membership is the Premium Membership, which includes more perks and rewards than the Free Membership.
The Premium Membership allows you to collect stamps and receive 10% off nearly every purchase. It also includes free shipping on all orders, free upgrades for beverages, special offers for your birthday and so much more. The Premium Membership is $39.99 per year.
